Once you have placed your bet(s) simply click 'Deal' and both you and the Dealer will be dealt one card. If you are playing in more than one position you will be dealt one card for each position. For this example we will assume you're playing just one hand.
Both your card and the Dealer's will be dealt face up. If your card is higher than the Dealer's you win the amount of your bet back. If your card is lower than the Dealer's you lose your bet. If it's the same, it's time to go to war!
When you and the Dealer have the same card you have the option of going to War. If you don't want to take the option you can click Surrender and you will lose half your bet.
If you decide to go to War your bet will be doubled. The Dealer will then 'burn' (discard) the next three cards in the deck and deal one additional card each.
If your new card is the same as, or higher than the Dealer's then you win even money on the amount raised and the original bet is declared a 'push' (you get your bet back). If the Dealer's card is higher than yours then both bets lose.
So for example, if you bet 10 on your first hand and then went to war your bet would be doubled to 20. If your second card is a Jack and the Dealer has a Jack or lower then you win 20 for your raise and get your original 10 back, giving a total of 30.
At the start of each game you can also make a side bet on a tie - ie. your card and the Dealer's card having the same value (e.g. two 8's or two Kings). To place a tie bet, select the chip you want to bet into the tie bet ribbon in the middle of the game screen.
Note that this side bet is in addition to your main bet and you cannot just bet on a tie.
If you win a side bet you are paid 10 to 1 and your winnings are automatically added to your balance.
You can bet on ties as often or as rarely as you like and bet any amount up to the maximum for the table.
Higher card than Dealer in 1st hand - 1 to 1
Winning War! - 1 to 1 on raised amount. Bet returned.
